Brookmeades Bold Arrives In Baltimore for Preakness PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 8. — Brookmeade Stable, leading money winner of last year and among the leaders again this season, apparently is going to have a representative in the 5,000 Diamond Jubilee running of the Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 19. Bold, three-year-old son of By Jimminy out of Little Rebel, bred by Brookmeade, was an arrival at Pimlico from Belmont Park to conclude his training for the second leg of the "Triple Crown" events. In the only two stake appearances Bold made last year as a two-year-old, he was impressive. After winning his first start in an overnight race, Bold finished second to Big Stretch in the Pimlico Futurity and came back to win the Endurance Handicap at Bowie. However, in the latter race he was disqualified and the victory went to Bob Considine. Brookmeades lone victory in the Preakness came in 1934 when High Quest nosed out his stablemate Cavalcade.
