SIR WHITE worked his way up between horses on the turn after a slow beginning, came through on the rail to be a sharp factor entering the stretch, came out for the drive and wore down MIKE M. The latter reached the lead when BIRDIE LULLEY quit, but was not good enough. TIGER TRAP lacked speed, lost some ground moving up and finished strongly. U S KNIGHT also was forced to race wide when improving position. INCHCAPELLA had no excuse. ETERNAL GREAT tired. BIRDIE LULLEY displayed her usual early speed and gave way. CEARA made the pace early on the backstretch, but could not menace when the real test came. MR. FLARES was outrun. CAIFERO bore out and raced j wide most of the way. JET FLEET, unhurried early, went up on the outside to reach command, drew clear under light hand urging a sixteenth mile from the finish and was placed in hand in the final strides, winning easier than the margin indicates. THE REEF took command between calls in the stretch, but could not resist the winner. COLONY DATE had no excuse in a good effort. IRRITATE caught tired horses. NORTHAMPTON broke slowest and was much used to reach the lead position on the turn, then gave way thereafter. BENTROVATO had good speed for a half mile and suddenly quit. DEFINITELY saved ground while a sharp contender, came out for the drive and got the nod. FANELIS ALLEY drew clear and came to the rail on the turn, was on nearly even terms for the lead in the final sixteenth mile and just missed. GRAPHIC was slowest to break, took up when blocked on the rail in the vicinity of the three and a half furlong post, came out when clear and finished well. MOSEID lacked speed, made a mild bid in the stretch and faltered. QUICK DEAL was outrun. DUCHESS D flashed speed and quit. Scratched— 19426 Due East, 114. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. BULLET PROOF was eased back when headed along the backstretch, made a mild bid on the far turn and lasted best of the others. MONTE broke in a tangle LIMASOL lost some ground while prominent and tired. BEST DOINGS was outrun. PROMPTNESS weakened after vying for the lead early.
