L. Leydecker; bred by F E Dixon Jr WENT TO POST— 5:47. OFF AT 5:48 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. FIFTY-FIVE held a forward position while being steadied early, engaged the leaders from the outside while showing a tendency to lug in, then was carefully urged while outgaming COPETE. The latter was well rated while holding a narrow advantage and held on tenaciously under a drive through the stretch. GALLANT G. I. was always prominent, fought it out willingly and just missed while in close between the top pair right at the end. MARCION, in contention throughout, lacked a closing rally as well as sufficient room. INFIRST rallied mildly on the turn and weakened as did SERVICE PILOT. GUMPTIOUS showed nothing. FIGHTING GAL was outrun. PALATIAL APPETITE quit early. Scratched— 276502 Fraternal, 118. Attendance, 10,157; Total Mutuel Pool, 73,542.
