DOUBLE BARREL, bumped by GRASSELON leaving the ! gate, was never a forward factor. TIME-SABU was outrun. IMPERIAL MANDY never was dangerous. SIR BOB raced in closest pursuit of the winner, was unable to overtake the latter when roused for the drive, but was easily best of the others SHASTA LOCK was unable to improve his position when hard ridden through the late stages. PETE S BEST saved ground to no avail during the early running, came out for the drive, but was not good enough. PINE LAKE had no excuse. CLOY and SCOTLAND YARD were always outrun. JACK FUSANO quit.
