! I I | ; j i ! Delaware Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 26. R. S. McDonald, after seeing action during the past week in steeplechase events, left for New York to spend the week-end. He expects to return to this course for further infield action. Militant Lady and Option, the property of Prank Rosens Palatine Stable, arrived from farm quarters and will be returned to training by J. H. "Slim" Pierce. Scoreless, Escargot and Silver Age, the property of C. V. Whitney, have been sent back to New York following unsuccessful local campaigns. Mrs. Elmer Truemans Send Off, whose seasonal debut has been delayed due to a series of minor mishaps in training, is again going along nicely and should be seen in the entries in the next week or ten days. Mrs. Esther duPont Weirs The Mast, winner of Mondays Tom Roby Steeplechase, will be out of action for some time, according to trainer Jim Ryan. The Annapolis gelding received a cut on the inside of his right hind leg which required 12 stitches. Sylvester W. Labrot, Jr.s Saucy Play came out of her Friday engagement with bucked shins, according to trainer Jimmy Rowan. She probably will next be seen under silks at Atlantic City. Jimmy Nichols, whose hole card is his proficiency astride two-year-olds, will go to New York on Wednesday to handle Chri- sinda for trainer J. M. Lee in the 0,000 Astoria Stakes. When Llanton won here Friday it marked the first success for the young stallion, Llanero, who stands at Richard T. Taylors Good Odds Farm, Elkton, Md. Llanero, who has but two horses racing at this time, is a son of Pharlaris, from Assaults grand dam, Incandescent. Mrs. Ogden Phipps Oedipus, a five-year-old Blue Larkspur gelding, put in his ap- pearance from New York and is a scheduled starter in both the Georgetown and, Indian River Steeplechase handicaps. Trainer Norman Haymaker has trans-* f erred Rare Mineral, Rigor Mortis, Circuit Judge, Black Canasta, Bull Hyde and Hal- Doreen to Waterford Park. They will later campaign at Randall Park. Al-Jo Stables Gray Matter and Putnam Stables Combat Boots, who failed in quest of Kent honors last Saturday, were re- turned to Jamaica, as was A. H. Warners Loridale, who was deprived of his chance-in the same race when the track was "off." The horses who race for Sylvester Rich* checked in this morning from Waterford Park under trainer Henry Virginia. In- eluded in the contingent were Scotia, Solicitor, Handle and Clear Request. Brookmeade Stables Chains, unable to find a suitable race at this point, has been returned to trainer Preston Burch at Belmont Park. T. A. Sears Ocean Breeze, who was, knocked into the fence in his most recent, start, will miss about a week of training according to his handlers.
