RUTH HANSON began sluggishly was guided out when gaining best stride, closed with a rush and disposed of the leaders in the late stages DAME MANGONEO, outrun early, was slightly wide leaving the turn, veered to the inside sharply midway of the drive and closed well. GRANDMA JOSIE, never far back, threatened boldly in the stretch, but was not good enough. SAHARA, a sharp factor on the rail, reached the lead in the stretch and faltered T0RNAR0SE had speed until leaving the turn and gave way. TUT-TUT-T00TIE was forced to race wide and tired MAD MADGE vied for the lead until the stretch and tired suddenly. FEINT, in close attendance of the pace on the rail, went into a clear lead under punishment in the stretch and won fully extended. CONCENTRATE was forced to race a trifle wide while duelling for the lead, held on stubbornly, but was not good enough. FAIR DEGREE improved position from the outside and lacked a closing rally. TUMBLER saved ground and had no excuse. MR. FLARES gradually dropped back between horses after breaking fastest. LEE CIRCLE dwelt at the start. RAIDICAT gave way once displaced for the lead. OTHELLO, far back while racing on his own courage, went to the outside for the drive, reached the lead inside the sixteenth post and rapidly drew away. THENDARA obtained command shortly after the start and gradually opened a comfortable advantage, held on willingly, but was no match for the top* one. INDIAN LAND, with the first flight from the start, went into the lead on the rail, drew out in the stretch and won in hand. BRER FOX was forced to race wide while well placed and finished best of the others. BUSY SIGNAL, a sharp factor until midstretch. tired in the drive. SECANT was sluggish early and bore in slightly while closing with good courage. BLUE DANUBE broke quickly and took a clear lead between calls on the backstretch, dropped back before reaching the turn, rallied mildly leaving the turn and gave way. BROOKRIDGE was forced to race considerably wide on the turn and tired. MILTON BERLE had speed, but dropped back when bearing out on the turn. MAE WEST turned in an unaccountably dismal performance. GOLD GIN saved ground while being reserved unitl leaving the far turn, went between the leaders to obtain command and drew away. TRUMPET KING, carried out on the first turn, moved through on the rail to challenge boldly leaving the final turn and outgamed BUTTON SHOES for the place. The latter was impeded at the start by VINITA ED, went through on the rail rounding the first turn to reach the lead, ran wide leaving the final turn and drifted out in the drive. ARMELLE, forced wide on the first turn, was a sharp factor until the final furlong and faltered. VINITA ED veered in at the start. HOMBRE ran out on the first turn and quit. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-4 MILES. CATS BRIDGE, reserved early, was carried wide leaving the final turn and finished best of the others. BOLD BYRD moved up quickly when called upon and tired in the drive. ALTHIRD ran wide leaving the final turn. ROAMING FEET had no excuse. LEGUISAMO took a long lead early and quit. Scratched— Fighting Fair, 116. Overweight— Chance Luck, 2 pounds.
