BOLARIS assumed command soon after the start, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch, then responded to mild urging and retained a good advantage to the finish. COTTON JOE made a good bid nearing the stretch, was unable to reach the top one when set down in the drive, but easily bested the others. RAVEN REWARD lacked early speed, but finished well. WELL MET bore out entering the stretch and could not get to the leaders when straightened for the drive. ALPHARA could not keep up. SUFFKI, a keen factor from the start, swerved to the inside during the stretch run, slightly impeding FANCY FLYER, gave way momentarily to the latter, but came again under punishment and retained a short advantage to the finish. FANCY FLYER, in hand to the upper turn, moved up fast on the inside at the stretch turn and, after reaching the lead, atempted to "savage SUFFKI, but failed to withstand the latter, although probably best. OUR REQUEST lacked early foot and could not get to the leaders when set down through the stretch. IDA C. was outrun. SLAMARANTH. away fast, was much used racing BEAU KOO into defeat, held a clear lead when settled in the stretch, but could not withstand the top one. ■•RED INQUISITOR began sluggishly, gradually improved position after the start, but could not overtake the leaders GAY SENORITA faltered during the final furlong. LUTZA lacked early speed. ROUGH N READY ■was on the outside throughout. GRACIOUS HEART was far back to the stretch. BEAU KOO tired after making -the pace for five-eiqhths mile. BILLCELLA was sent to the front early, entered the stretch with a clear lead, but was vigorously handled to withstand LIMERICK BOY. The latter saved ground while reserved to the stretch, finished strongly under punishment, but could not get to the top one. ROY 0. began fast, then was taken in hand and reserved to the stretch, remained on the inside for the drive and closed willingly. MR. EDD tired after showing early speed. CATNIP HILL gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. BLUE HEDDA was far back throghout.
