Louis Tufano Suspended By Belmont Park Stewards BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 5. — Owner Louis Tufano, who races under the nom de course of Marise Farm, was suspended today with his case referred to the New York State Racing Commission. He was also denied all privileges, including admission -to the grounds, for violation of Rule 353 F. Tufano, who is a contractor making his home at Hollis, L. I., is known to the turf world as the owner of the fine handicap hbrse, Market Wise, whom he acquired along with Flank for ,500 and who went on to become one of the best distance runners of recent years. Tufano had won a single race this year with Gondolier, who was scratched from todays fourth race." It was stated that todays ruling was based upon evidence submitted to the stewards by the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau that corrupt orders, which were not obeyed, were given the jockey on the horse Gondolier on two occasions. It was not indicated which races or jockeys were involved. Gondolier won when running for ,500 on April 24, with Hedley Woodhouse in the saddle. He then finished third, with a ,000 tag, ridden by Don MacAndrew and finished second, also for ,000, with MacAndrew, in his next start. Gondolier was then moved up to ,500 and finished fifth and sixth, ridden by Eric Guerin and Eldon Coffman, respectively.
