Illinois Breeders Holding Election Meeting Tuesday Business Session Also on Agenda In Dining Room at Hawthorne HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., June 5.— Members of the Illinois Thoroughbred Breeders Association will hold their sixth annual business meeting and election next Tuesday evening, June 10, at Hawthorne, following a dinner in the grandstand dining room. Officers whose terms expire are: president, Frank E. Butzow, Chicago; vice-presidents, Clyde Troutt, Benton and James H. Dunn, Oak Park; secretary- treasurer, D. Elmo Jordan, Chicago. Also expiring this year are the terms of three of the nine directors — Earl H. McMahon, Chicago, chairman of the board; Albert Boyd, Batavia; State Senator Simon E. Lantz, Congerville. There is also one vacancy on the board to fill. Varlan Walter Heberer, of Belleville, 111., recipient of the 1951 scholarship to the college of agriculture, University of Illinois, awarded by the National Association of Thoroughbred Breeders, will be a guest of the Illinois group, which is affiliated with NATB. Each year the NATB gives scholarships at several colleges and universities to members of the Future Farmers of America who have graduated from high school and who wish to continue their education in some branch of agriculture. Miss Joyce Eileen Bolton, of Milton, 111., only girl to receive one of the breeders scholarships, was guest of the Illinois Association and the Lincoln Fields management last year when the meeting was held at Washington Park. In his notices to members secretary Jordan stressed the importance of the forthcoming business meeting and requested a large attendance from the associations approximately 100 members. I
