MARY LIKE, a keen factor from the start, raced BOFAYE into defeat after entering the stretch and held on gamely thereafter to withstand the others. DEBBY J. lacked early speed but finished strongly to deadheat with STROLLING MOON for second. The latter, never far back, held on willingly while racing in the middle of the track and finished on equal terms with DEBBY J. BOFAYE went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under pressure from MARY LIKE, disposed of the latter but faltered during the drive. VANSLAM tired during the last eighth KIBBY F. was outrun and raced wide. FENTY 0. saved ground throughout and could not get to the leaders. STAR PIGEON was- never dangerous. THE FARMER had a rough trip to the upper turn and raced wide through the stretch. HIGHWAY, rank during the post parade, began alertly but failed to stay. LEFT BANK, a sharp factor from the start, reached the lead after disposing of GOLDEN GESTURE, continued willingly during the drive, but was unable to hold the winner. PRO TANTO gave a good effort and had no mishap. JOFOURTH lacked early speed. HERES ED was. outrun. ATOKA LAD began slowly. CYDS BABY was never dangerous. GOLDEN GESTURE was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. BOXIE raced wide after showing early speed. ROBIN RED, in close quarters at the upper turn, could not threaten the leaders when clear. THESIS quit after displaying brief speed. Scratched— 5257? DJYMY, -forwardly placedfrom the beginning, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and, closing fast under brisk urging, disposed cf the leaders in the last sixteenth. TINTINA began fast, made the pace until near-the finish, but could not hold the top one. HASTY SUN gave a good effort and had -ho mishap BLABBER MOUTH tired after showing early speed. WINGY failed to rally when set down for the drive. ASTRODOME began slowly. TORRENT was never dangerous. KIBBITZ was outrun. COCK CROW gave way after showing early speed. KING WILLOW showed nothing. CONNIE-JO raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, closing fast under urging, raced by the leaders to win going away. SIR FAY raced nearest HARPETH until inside the stretch, continued determinedly, but was unable to hold the winner. HARPETH was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong, then faltered and probably needed his race. WINTER CIRCUIT was unable to better his position when set down through the stretch. MR. SKEETER could not keep up. GLORAT was outrun. GYPSY GLOW showed nothing. NODELLA raced greenly. ROUND N ROUND, away fast and never far back, drifted to the inside during the stretch run and, after bothering WOE IS ME, reached the lead and retained a short advantage to the finish. WOE IS ME, forwardly placed from the outset, went to the front during the stretch run, suffered light interference from ROUND N ROUND as the latter bore to the inner rail and could not hold the winner, although much the best of the others. RACKER-BILL finished willingly under urging, but could not seriously threaten the top ones. RUSH STREET began solwly. DOUBLE BLUSH went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, but gave way when challenged by WOE IS ME. BEEP BEEP was outrun. NOCALLULA showed nothing.
