TROJAN MONARCH assumed command early, raced SLIM into defeat and was not threatened while being kept to mild urging. BURNHAM WOOD was always a factor and outfinished SLIM. The latter weakened following a futile effort to outrun the winner along the backstretch. MID STREAM gave way gradually after racing forwardly. ABRACADABRA, away tardily and sluggish early, closed willingly. BROOKSHIRE could not keep pace. FOUR TO GO failed to enter contention ROMAN ORGY quit.
