Fort Miami Offers Best Program for Its Last Day Sprint and Marathon Handicap to Engage Classiest Horses at Track By R. E. HURLEY . Staff Correspondent FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 15.— Thoroughbred racing bows out of the Toledo area on the wings of the most successful meeting in the short history of the Toledo Jockey Club and the best card of the 25 -day spring meeting has been arranged by racing secretary John L. Wat-kins. Handicap races at six furlongs and a mile and five furlongs dominate the proceedings with eight speedsters named in the shorter Sesquicentennial Handicap and 11 routers in the Au Revoir marathon. Alfred Boulder renews his rivalry with the Pitt-trained pair of Lieutenant and Neds Choice in the six furlongs handicap which has all the ingredients of a standout race. A. L. Hofferts speedy filly, Snow Wave, is also in the sprint, but has been practically weighted out of the race at 120 pounds. Others in the field are Sir Dakota, Open Way, Boutonniere and Breach. The last named pair are coupled in the wagering. The Au Revoir is the final race on the card and has two couplings in the 11 -horse field. Copperstone and Autan run in the J. Etzler interest while With Ease and Nos-trilia run for Mrs. F. Flowers and L. Madonna. Such tried and true routers as Fast Break. Oreling, Son Joss, Barqual, Big Muddy, Snatched and Pam Light are in the field which is closely matched. With Ease and Copperstone are three-time winners at distances while Oreling has been twice victor in route races. He gives the impression of being able to run all day despite his 10 years and will certainly find the 13 furlongs long enough.
