i : : 1 Stewards Rulings SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 15. — Two rulings issued by the local stewards here today penalized jockeys for infractions. They read: "Jockey Leslie Wickel is suspended for 10 racing days, May 18-28, inclusive, with a recommendation to the Illinois Racing Board that he be suspended an additional 10 racing days. May 29-June 9, inclusive, for rough riding in the first race, May 14. "Jockey Henry G. Manifold is suspended for 10 racing days, May 18-28, inclusive, for cutting over too sharply after the start and causing a jam in the first race, May 13." CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville. Ky., May 15. — The stewards posted the following ruling here today: "Jockey O. Grohs is suspended 10 days for rough riding in the sixth race, May 14, 1953." SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 15. — The stewards here today issued the following ruling: "Jockey Keith Stuart, rider of Chal-lalad, is suspended 10 racing days May 16-May 27, inclusive, for careless riding during the running of the fourth race, May 14." FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 15. — The stewards here today issued the following rulings: "For violation of rule 59-A, for conduct detrimental to the best interests of racing while appearing on the racing strip between races in an intoxicated condition, owner L. Eversole is fined the sum of 5.00. "Pending further investigation patrol judge Mike Zeller is relieved of his duties as of 1:15 p. m., Friday, May 15, 1953. "Due to sickness and weakened physical condition jockey Kenneth Chapman is removed from his mounts on Friday, May 15, and will not be permitted to ride closing day, Saturday, May 16." BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio. May 15. — The stewards issued the following rulings: "Former jockey C. E. Bright is hereby ordered off the premises of the Beulah Park Jockey Club. "Trainer L. Snodgrass is fined fifty 0.00 dollars for employing and harboring an unlicensed and disqualified person. "Bright has rulings against him elsewhere and Snodgrass employed him." DUFFERIN PARK, Toronto, Ont., May 15. — "In the eighth race on Thursday, May 14, Double Dot was disqualified from second place and relegated to third position for impeding Gallant Blue at the turn. "Jockey Emil Roy, who rode Double Dot, is suspended for the balance of the meeting May 18-21, inclusive. Official placing: Fort Garry, first: Gallant Blue, second; Double Dot, third; Simalad, fourth." DUFFERIN PARK, Toronto. Ont„ I May 15. The stewards issued the fol- lowing ruling: "Jockey Phillip Griff is is suspended for 10 racing days May 18-28, inclusive for rough riding after leaving the starting gate in the seventh race on Thursday, May 14."
