DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May ; 15. — Delaware Parks three stakes for two- ! year-olds, to be renewed at the meeting which opens May 29, have attracted a total of 439 nominations — an increase of 11 over i last season, it was revealed today by racing I secretary J. Gilbert Haus. j*j The three 0,000 added juvenile fixtures , to be decided at the 32-day meeting are the , Dover, scheduled for June 3; Polly Drum- mond, restricted to fillies, on June 10, and ; the Christiana, for colts and geldings, on j June 24. The Dover and Polly Drummond are at five furlongs, while the Christiana is « a half furlong longer. These events for the : new crop of racers have drawn the nominations of two-year-olds which include the winners of eight 1953 stakes through May 12, and some of the most prized yearling I buys of the 1952 sales. Winners of Six Major Stakes Fillies in the Polly Drummond already have accounted for a half dozen major events this year. Sitting Duck captured the Rcsedale, Wolf Gal took the Florida Breeders and a division of the Hialeah Juvenile; Sweet Cleo won the other division of the Hialeah Juvenile, Evening Out was victorious in the Fashion, and Banquet Bell won a division of Gulf stream Parks Turf Club Dinner Stakes. Wolf Gal also is named for the Dover. I Appeal, the Bowie Kindergarten victor, is in the Christiana and the Dover. Revolt, triumphant in the Youthful, is a Dover candidate. The highest-priced colt and filly of the 1952 yearling sales are among the promising newcomers engaged. James O. McCues Summa Cum, the 8,000 Alibhai — Miss Dogwood celt, may sport his owners Brae-burn Farm silks in the Christiana. In the Polly Drummond is Darby Dan Farms 6,000 filly by Roman — Miss Brief, named Ladybreath, a stablemate of Banquet Bell, who won her debut today. The Christiana fso attracted the White Oak Stables Blue Master, a son of Blue Swords — Poppycock, and therefore a full brother to the renowned Blue Man. Blue Master was a 2,000 yearling buy. Other mteresting Polly Drummond fillies are Rokeby Stables Wild Applause, a 7,000 sister to Spartan Valor, and Claiborne "arms Meadow, a 4,500 acquisition. Heaviest nominator to both the Christiana and Dover was Brookfield Farm of "larry Isaacs, who named a half dozen youngsters for each of those events. William duPont, Jr.s Foxcatcher Farm led the "oily Drummond nominators with seven. The Christiana drew 163 nominations, while the Dover attracted 139 and the Polly Drummond, 137.
