Andrew Shaw, Former Horse Owner, Succumbs ALHAMBRA, Calif., May 15.— Dr. Charles Andrew Shaw, prominent dentist of this city, and owner of a small string of thoroughbreds for several years, passed away Wednesday evening at Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena, of toxin poisoning. He had entered the hospital some 10 days previously. Shaw was 60 years of age. In addition to his wife, Frances, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Shaw, brother, Allan J., and a sister, Marian, all of whom reside in Ironwood, Mich., where j Shaw was born. Shaw was a graduate of Northwestern University, Chicago, and served in World : War I., as a first lieutenant.
