Ohio Notes ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga, Falls, Ohio, May 15. Agent Troy Kight has taken over the riding engagements of the promising bug boy, Norman Hart. Hart currently is one of the leading riders at the meeting. C. A. Cranford, veteran Maryland trainer, hasa taken over the horses Brass Hat and Winter Land to train. Both horses have been running here at Ascot Park and show great promise. Apprentice Gardner Darlington, of Charles Town, had one of his greatest days in the saddle Tuesday when the youngster booted home three winners. Darlington is tall for a rider, but has overcome the handicap and has improved a great deal in the past few months. Owner-trainer Jimmy Simpson is having one of the best meetings of his career at Ascot Park this spring. The popular Virginian has won half a dozen races, which ranks him near the top for leading training honors. The veteran steeplechase rider, Freddy Kratz, rides all Simpsons horses.
