MURPHYS DEB, slow to gain best stride, forged to the front midway in the final furlong and gamely withstood PASS. The latter responded gamely when set down fcr the drive and closed with good energy. PARLOR PINK, away fastest, gave way to the winner inside the stretch and continued to tire when called upon for his best effort. WILL TRAVEL retired steadily after flashing early speed. BELT0N BOY, sluggish to start, worked his way forward on the complete outside to gain command during the concluding strides and won drawing away. HOPLITE responded to punishment to reach the lead at the furlong marker, was unable to withstand the winner, but easily bested the others. EVANS MOUNTAIN, guided to the middle of the track for the drive, lacked the necessary rally. MISS PENSIVE had no apparent mishap. D0CED0E was outrun. HADASSAH was through after a half mile. STANDEE quit. KING COMMANDER showed nothing. ALL IS WELL, always within striking distance while on the outside, came fast when shaken for the drive and was up in the final strides to prevail over PLUS FOURS. The latter sprinted into a commanding lead entering the stretch, shortened stride thereafter and could not hold the winner. DUKE FANELLI possessed good early speed, but failed to respond when placed to brisk pressure. TIMELY REWARD passed tiring horses. DELUGE and VIGOROUS were never formidable. TOM FOOL, a sharp factor from the beginning, drifted out on the final turn, disposed of MR. TURF when straightened and, though bearing in slightly during the late stages, had enough left to outfinish ROYAL VALE. The latter, reserved back of the early leaders, was guided to the inside for the stretch run and gradually was wearing down the winner. INTENT was carried wide when the winner bore out on the near turn, recovered readily, but was no match for the top ones when set down for the ultimate test. COLD COMMAND, outrun early, raced evenly through the final furlong without miship. RAES REWARD never threatened. COUNT TURF was always outdistanced. MR. TURF, much used early, had nothing left. RISQUE ROUGE, unhurried when outrun for a half-mHe, was sent into closer contention on the final turn while on the outside, held a clear lead when settled for the stretch run and continued on gamely to win as if much the best. PRINCIPIO saved ground during the run down the backstretch, rallied mildly when roused, but was no match for the winner. FLIGHT CLOUD showed good speed from immediately after the start, but tired when placed to brisk urging. COUNT BREEZE quit. AESTHETE failed to stay while racing between horses. MARCH AGAIN, much the best, dwelt at the break, took the complete overland route to gain contention entering the stretch, wore down MUCHO MAS inside the furlong marker and was going away at the finish. The iatter stepped into a commanding early lead, then held sway until well inside the stretch before weakening. ALPHABETICAL moved up menacingly on the outside when straightened for the drive, then tired. CARBEAU failed to make up appreciable ground. LUCKY C0DINE had no mishap.
