Well-Matched Features Dot Ascot Park Program Sweep Clean and Amble Miss Get Call to Prove Victorious Today ASCOT PARK. Cuyahoga Falls. Ohio, May 23. — Mondays racing here at Ascot Park has no outstanding feature, but the seventh and eighth races should provide plenty of interest to local racing fans. With the meeting moving into its final two weeks and the weather taking a turn for the better, a goodly crowd is expected at the route 8 plant. The seventh race is at a mile and one furlong and has drawn the following entries: Dr. Wright, Bee Kee. Surita Hall, Sweep Clean, Julge O., Unison and Shadow Shot. Sweep Clean, from the barn of Virginia McKenney, is capable of much better than he has shown to date here at Ascot Park, and should be right there in Mondays race. Sweep Clean is by Good Goods out of a Bostonian mare, Boston Broom, and was bred by Mrs. McKenney. At one time the gelding held the track record at Water-ford Park for a mile and 70 yards. He will probably be ridden by Eddie Plesa in here. Shadow Shot, Unison, Dr. Wright and Judge O., have all been fairly consistent since the meeting opened. Surita Hall appears to be outclassed in here and Bee Kee will be making his initial start of the meeting. In the other feature scheduled at six and one-half furlongs, eight well-matched runners are expected to answer the bugle. They will line up as follows: Queens Myrtle. Time-Sabu, Flag Maud, Amble Miss, The Farmer, Vincibelle, Where Now and Friar Bill. Amble Miss, owned by F. M. Ashby, appears to have a slight edge over her seven rivals. Her last was very good when she defeated Chesters Girl by two and a half lengths, after leading from soon after the start. Flag Maude surprised everyone the other day with a longshot score in one of the early races, Where Now tired in her last race, and Friar Bill occasionally runs a good race.
