Harness Racing Season SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 23.— Legislation increasing the harness horse racing season in California from 70 to 84 days was signed by Gov. Earl Warren yesterday. The measure provides seven additional days for Southern California tracks and a similar number for those in the North. The Western Harness Racing Association, through its general manager, Bernard Kearney, indicated in Los Angeles that the club would file a petition with the Cali-, fornia Horse Racing Board asking that the additional days be added to the coming meeting at Santa Anita, which is scheduled to run from October 9 to December 5. If the plea is granted, the session will come to an end on December 12. Kearney also indicated that WHRA next year will request a split season, with meetings in the spring and fall.
