C, May 23. — Some 1,800 operational employes at the huge Savannah River H-Bomb plant have voted against union representation, the duPont Co. reported today. DuPont, general operating and building contractor for the ,400,000,-000 plant, said an unofficial count of the balloting showed 135 for the CIO, 700 for the AFL and 966 against any union. Draftees to Fight Mau Maus NAIROBI, Kenya, May 23. — The government of this British African colony announced today that it has decided to draft naturalized Asians for service against the Mau Mau terrorists. All Asian men. between the ages of 18 and 23 who are British subjects — an estimated total of 7,000 — will be registered for service at their own request, and about one-third of them probably will be drafted, official sources said. Approve Rivers Appropriation WASHINGTON, D. C, May 23.— The House Appropriations Committee today ap- proved 98,884,100 for rivers, harbors and flood control work in this year starting July 1. This is 62,640,000, or 39.6 per cent less than the Truman administration asked in January. It is 0,606,000 less ; than the Eisenhower administration asked. Mail Bombs as Protest BELFAST, Northern Ireland, May 23 — - Fire bombs in envelopes addressed to prom-; • inent Ulster officials exploded prematurely today in the main post office here.
