; • . . [ 1 1 I Plesa Escapes With Minor Bruises in Ascot Park Spill ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. May 23. — Jockey Eddie Plesa was only shaken up after a spill in yesterdays ninth race. He was riding out Go Tax when the horse was bumped by Margaret A. and went down on the clubhouse turn. At first it appeared as though Plesa may have been badly injured, but, he luckily escaped with only minor bruises. He will ride this after-, noon. In that same race jockey Lowell Thomas McKnight was thrown from Davy Boy after the latter crashed through the inside rail just entering the backstretch. McKnight, however, walked off the track under his own power and he, too, rides this afternoon.
