PUTNEY, well ridden, slipped through next to the inner rail to reach near even terms with the leaders at the furlong marker, forged to the front midway the stretch run, then gamely lasted to outfinish SHAMROCK. The latter came to the complete outside for the drive and closed with good energy. BLAZE bumped with GUARDIAN II. during the stretch run, then continued to tire when placed to brisk urging. GUARDIAN II. held a slight lead when shaken for the drive, but shortened stride thereafter. INCRIMINATION was unable to keep up. MR. JAMIESON trailed throughout Scratched 963D1 Knotty Paul, 122. LA CRIMA held a commanding advantage entering the stretch, faltered when challenged, but held on willingly to easily prevaii over the others. TERESA was unable to improve her position when hard hustled through the final furlong. HALCYON BIRD lacked a rally. ADRASTUS was always outrun HAM HOCKS was unable to attain the lead and tired.
