Barn Area Improvements At Golden Gate Fields ALBANY, Calif., Aug. 25. Several important improvements have been made in the barn area at Golden Gate Fields for the 40-day meeting opening Monday, Septesr ber 14, and continuing through Thursday, October 29. Grooms who will make the Albany plant their home during the forthcoming season I will find that all tack rooms have been i completely renovated. Each room has been lined with sheet rock and is now windproof, j rainproof and fireproof. The west side of the barns nearest the I bay have been enclosed and horses may i now be protected from the ocean breezes. A number of the barns have been re-roofed. All roads in the area have been resurfaced and many of the buildings have been painted a bright green, including the cafeteria and receiving barn.
