OH LEO followed FIRST REFUSAL closely while the latter was making the pace, then headed him after entering the stretch and, withstanding a challenge from SUN DAVID, held the latter to the end in a fine effort. SUN DAVID was well placed early and - raced next the rail throughout, but could make little impression on OH LEO in the last furlong. ELJAY was close enough from the start, but lost some ground in -racing rather wide and was unable to offer a serious threat. INSEPARABLE, while unable to keep up with the pace, finished fairly well. GUS FAN was never too far removed from the pace and, getting to the front in the stretch, responded gamely near the end and had enough left to hold PEACE JITTERS and win narrowly. The latter made a strong run on the outside through the stretch and " just failed to get up. SOOCRU was going strongly at the finish. SIX-THREE-FOUR made up ground when too late. GIN CHAMP and SKY PRINCESS tired. STEADY ACE attempted to bolt while, leading the field rounding . the first turn, then tired after racing forwardly placed for six furlongs.
