ALPHAS CHOICE raced LEFT BANK into defeat before entering the stretch, then responded to strong handling during the drive and repulsed ONWARD MARCH. The latter, outrun early, gradually worked way forward after the initial quarter mile and closed fast, but could not overtake the winner. SLAMMURING gave a good effort and had no mishap. HAPPY VERDICT lacked early speed, but finished strongly. JERKY tfred. COUNT GALLA was through early. STAND OFF began fast, but steadily lost ground after the start. VERANO, in close quarters at the first turn, failed to recover. LEFT BANK raced with ALPHAS CHOICE for a half mile, then gave way. The latter began fast, set the pace until inside the stretch, but could not stay with the top one. HASTY SUN lacked early speed, but finished fairly well under punishment. WOOD H, on the outside throughout, made a good bid in the early stretch, then faltered. BIG DANCE failed to stay when set down in the drive. DEVOTIONAL was never prominent. ROVING KIND tired after engaging SUN IDOL BOY for a half mile. HOOP GANO began sluggishly. RICKSHAW could not keep up. MYSTERY MAN was never dangerous. TREADA BOY took command at the mile, entered the stretch with a clear lead, but was hard ridden during the drive to withstand MULEY. The latter" lacked early speed, made up ground steadily after the initial half mile and closed strongly, but could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. LILAC raced fojwardly placed to the final furlong, then weakened. BUONGIORNO, never far back, took command after three-quarters mile, was taken up sharply when his rider misjudged the finish, suffered interference approaching the stretch and drifted out badly during the drive. ABBE BOY was outrun. PRO began fast, but failed to stay. MIBELAIRE showed nothing. NEW LIGHT tired. NET PROFIT could not keep up . NOBILITY attempted to bear out during the run down the back-stretch, recovered under good handling but could not better his position when set down for the drive. MR. DINK was outrun.
