STORMY WATERS was unable to keep up with the early pace, but came strongly in the stretch to find an opening and bested PLAYMAN narrowly in a drive. PLAYMAN moved up on the inside of NEROS MERMAID in the last sixteenth to take a short lead near the end and was just beaten in the last stride. MISS CANASTA was outrun early, but was going fairly well at the end. FLAMING BUSH tired in the last sixteenth. TORDAR raced rather wide and failed to threaten. SECOND REQUEST was never far from the pace and coming strongly on the outside of LITTLE BURDEN in the stretch, had no trouble, passing her to win going away. LITTLE BURDEN beat the others away and saved ground while making the pace but was no match for the vinner and was tiring at the end. LADY DEKOVER moved to a contending position after going a quarter and raced well thereafter. CAROLS JOY was also going well at the end. FIELD SPY lacked early speed and failed to be a serious contender. BOLD TOWN tired. MINA-TINA had some early speed. TRAFFIC MISS was badly outrun. UNCLE JOHN went to the front at once and withstood a mild challenge from LITTLE EGYPT nearing the stretch turn while still under light restraint, then drew out again but was hustled along near the finish. LITTLE EGYPT made a good move at the half-way mark and raced gamely thereafter. WILD TEDpY made up ground on the inside and was going well at the end. WORTHY OPTION lacked early speed but was -going strongly in the middle of the track at the end and might have been second in a few more strides. GRAY COBBLER and HURRIED had some early speed. The latter dashed to the front soon after the start and held on well after setting a good pace. JOHN KAPLAN improved his position in the stretch and was going well at the end. SELECT BARRE moved up steadily nearing the stretch turn, but lacked much finishing strength. CLOSE ATTACK had speed to the final furlong, then tired. DRIP quit badly in the last eighth. PRINCE MIKE was fractious before the start, refused to extend himself and was pulled up after seemingly trying to bolt. The latter began slowly, was steered to the inside leaving the backstretch and moved up in the stretch but was taken to the outside of the early leaders in the last sixteenth and was unable to get up although gaining. BELIEVEIWILL went to the front early to increase his margin nearing the stretch turn but weakened in the final drive. WORTHY SIS was going steadily at the end. BLUES SONG had early speed. GOOD CALL went to the front early and meeting with little opposition, increased her advantage as she went to win as she pleased. GRAY CHALLENGE was always a fairly good contender and saved ground in the stretch to outfinish AESTHETE. The latter was closest to GOOD CALL in the early running and, although weakening near the end, just failed to hold second place. BELLA FIGURA was close enough early but was in tight quarters several times while racing on the inside and was unable to threaten. MISS TRAFFIC was going fairly well at the end. DIXIE FLYER broke slowly, was sent up on the inside of MISS TRAFFIC nearing the far turn and was eased, then made a mild run nearing the stretch turn but went wide on the turn and bore out in the stretch. The latter bore out on the first turn, but was taken to the inside on the backstretch to move up and raced well thereafter. WAR TOKEN displayed the most early speed, but faltered near the end. SEDGEVIEW went wide in the stretch, but closed steadily. STONER CREEK passed tiring horses near the end.
