Henry Block Leading Rider At Charles Town Meeting In statistics recently published for the 38-day Charles Town meeting ending August 8, the name of Henry Block, leading rider at the meeting, was inadvertently omitted. Block rode 36 winners during the session to beat out Fred Kratz, who had 34; In performing this feat, Block accepted 152 mounts, so that he rode 24 per cent winners, highest of the top 10 riders at the session. In addition, Blocks mounts finished second 24 times and third on 19 other occasions.
