YOUKON LADY, well off the early pace, moved from the outside and, under pressure, wore down both PRETTY HOT and BRILYN G. near the end. The latter raced in the first flight from the outset while saving ground and held on gamely through the stretch, s PRETTY HOT wrested command racing into the far turn and held on tenaciously through the stretch, but was hot quite good enough. SNOW DOWN passed tiring horses. SANTA DO flattened out after looming dangerous going to the three-eighths pole. APPEARANCE quit as did EILEEN CLARICE. Overweight Youkon Lady, 1 pound; Santa Do, 4. PICTORIC, allowed to settle into best stride, moved up gamely from the outside on the final turn and disposed of SWEET ORPHAN inside the furlong marker. The latter opened a wide lead on the backstretch, saved ground on the turns, but faltered in the late stretch. GIFT MAEDIC, far back most of the trip, closed willingly. FOREST KNIGHT tired.
