Declaration of Tom Fool SARATOGA, Saratoga Springs, N. Y., Aug. 26. Trainer John Gayer said today "that he wished to correct an impression in some quarters that Green- -tree Stables Tom Fool is a possible starter in the Washington Park Handicap a week from Saturday. Gayer said that the handicap champion was declared from the Chicago race some days ago, as he and Jock Whitney felt that it was unwise to send Tom Fool west for that severe test, then bring him back to Belmont Park for his encounter with Alfred G. Vanderbilts Native Dancer in the.Sysonby Mile on September 26. The Sysonby is the four-year-olds major objective at this moment, and he is being trained expressly for that race on the Whitney training track at Saratoga.
