A. B. Dade Memorial Handicap At W. Kentucky Oval Saturday DADE PARK, Henderson, Ky., Aug. 26. The next attraction here at Dade Park is the A. B. Dade Memorial Handicap which will be decided Saturday afternoon. The distance for the race is a mile and 40 yards for a purse of ,500. The event is named for the late A. B. Dade, a native of Henderson, and a nationally known starter of thoroughbreds back when the horses were dispatches from a string instead of from starting gates. There will remain two other big races after the A. B. Dade Memorial. These are the A. M. Fisher Handicap and the Labor Day Handicap. The former is for two-year-olds at six furlongs and the latter is for three,-year-olds and upward also at six furlongs. Each race will have a purse of ,500. The Fisher event will top the Saturday card, September 5, while the Labor Day Handicap will feature the program that will ring down the curtain on the summer meeting.
