Sprint and Route Events Feature Hamilton Card Dr. Pentick, Zephyrette Renew Rivalry in Five-Furlong Test By R. E. HURLEY Staff Correspondent HAMILTON, Ohio, Aug. 26. Racing enthusiasts will have two different races to concentrate on here Thursday as Dr. Pen-tick and Zephyrette renew their rivalry at five furlongs against a limit field of eight, including the winners; Blitzen Boy and Sassy Suzan, while route racing follows in the next race with four winners at the meeting matched over nine furlongs in the TJrbancrest Purse. Pauls Pick, Mahamed, Ferry Pilot and Poplar Street are the winners in the TJrbancrest that will be matched against Third Spin, Hals Chick, Ha Whoa and Judy Cave, with two other winners, Petite Goutte and Orphean, on the also-eligible list, ready to move into the nine-furlong test should scratches permit. These routers are obviously training for the longer Special this Saturday and the longer Endurance at two miles and a sixteenth a week later. Pauls Pick, Mahamed and Ferry Pilot have scored here at route distances, while Poplar Street was a sprint winner. Of the winnersTMahamed looked the most impressive, coming with a late rush that just carried him to 4victory in the last stride after trailing most of the way at the same distance as the TJrbancrest. Pauls Pick was an upset winner over the odds-on Dusky Hill, but his triumph should not be regarded as a fluke, for the victory was well earned. The meeting of Dr. Pentick and Zephyrette will be a rematch of their race on Tuesday when the latter nailed a neck decision over Dr. Pentick after he had set the pace all the way in a five-furlong sprint. Dr. Pentick had been idle for some time previous to this engagement and might have been a trifle short, but will have the advantage of the inside post to reverse the score on Zephyrette. The presence of Blitzen Boy, Sassy Susan and Polly Pic tor is enough to insure that these two will not have a runaway, but the rematch is eagerly awaited by horsemen and Hamilton racing fans.
