RED RIVER, never far back, but attempting to bear to the inside during the initial four furlongs, took command after five-eighths mile and, establishing a clear lead, won with something left. POLILME, reserved to the last quarter mile, finished well under urging, but could not get to RED RIVER. NEW ORLEANS lacked early speed, but made up ground during the drive. LEVIATHAN tired during the stretch run. JET LIZZIE failed to stay after showing early speed. TICK-RICK showed nothing. WHIZ KID gave way after racing well to the stretch. SOUTHS BEST was outrun. STEVO showed nothing. GAME BID, INJURED WHILE IN THE STARTING GATE, WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN FROM THE RACE AND ALL WAGERS ON HER WERE REFUNDED. The latter took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, but could not withstand the top one. BONA ETERNAL gave a good effort and had no excuse. PADDY LANE tired during the drive. HUNTING CALL failed to rally when set down for the stretch run and pulled up sore. SO FAIR could not keep up and had no mishap. STATE COACH was outrun. ANDY JOE raced wide. BLUE BADGE, roughed after the start, could not reach serious contention and pulled up lame. BULL HYDE showed nothing. GOLD FLASH, forwardly placed and saving ground from the start, disposed of BLUE ERRARD after three-eighths mile and, responding to good handling, won going away. COL. MOE LEE raced evenly for a half mile, closed willingly under urging, but could not get to the winner. BLUE ERRARD, away sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention and " tired after going a half mile. TOP PRETTY raced wide. JIM APE could not keep up. INSTYLE was never prominent. ANNA JARVIS took command at the break, drifted out while setting the pace and gave way before entering the stretch. MOP STICK showed nothing. CONQUERANT went to the front at the start, set the pace until inside the stretch, but could not withstand KALLUKI. BYRONIC was sent to the ouside for he drive and closed fas in a good effor. SMART EVE was unable to better her position when set down in the drive. TRE TIO had early speed, but failed to stay. BURGOO PLAY could not keep up. LAMBENT showed nothing and pulled up sore. -GRANNY D. WAS CUT BADLY IN THE NEAR ELBOW DURING THE POST PARADE AND WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN FROM THE RACE WITH ALL WAGERS ON HER REFUNDED.
