WINK PROOF was well placed behind the leaders, rallied steadily from the outside in the stretch run and was gradually drawing clear. SATANS MATE was briskly ridden vying for the pace and held on well to best GANG MOLL. The latter was hustled to the front on the stretch turn and weakened in the final furlong. G00GIN was a forward factor, but rallied only mildly. MAN 0 DAY raced on the outside and finished well. ELRUSA began slowly and lost ground outside of horses. MISTER CLIFF bore out on the turn. DARK ROYAL alternated in forcing and setting the pace with ELJAKA while racing on the outside, bested that rival in the final furlong and held STAR Z. safe. The latter was steadied behind the first flight, came out slightly for the final run and finished willingly. ELJAKA was briskly urged vying for the pace and weakened. DING DING, fractious ■pnd ~ paraded directly to the post, broke slowly, then came around horses in the stretch and finished fast. CAIRNBROOK quit. CHANTER gave a dull effort. AVIS scurried into a commanding lead immediately after the start, widened on the field on his own courage and won as the rider pleased. NOBLE TANG displayed good speed from the beginning to be clearly second best. BENEFICIAL appeared mildly threatening to NOBLE TANG saving ground in the drive, but hung. OCEAN HOP was not a threat. SARA KATE was forced wide midway the turn. JANET LYNN bolted on the turn. DI-ORE-MODEL was stopped abruptly when JANET LYNN bolted in front of her on the turn. BIRMOODA began fastest, but was eased in hand and reserved closest to RUSTY, regained command from the inside when ready for the drive and lasted under strong hand riding. RUSTY was sent into a clear lead after the start, continued willingly when displaced by BIRMOODA and fought it out under punishment. PINOSTRES rallied strongly on the turn, but drifted out badly in the stretch. LINKYTHORN had no mishap. WATCH HERO was outrun. CANDLEMAS faltered under pressure. BEL ESPRIT rushed through next to the rail and opened a clear lead on the final turn and lasted under punishment to hold WEAL OR WOE safe. The latter was well placed, but losing ground outside horses, and closed too late to seriously menace. ROYAL VIOLA was a keen factor and held on fairly well. YAMA had to be lightly steadied between horses on the final turn. STRIKING HOUR was slow settling into stride, had to swing wide in the late stages and closed belatedly. BLACK MAIN broke in front but dropped back suddenly in the opening furlong, then came to the inside for the drive and finished well to best GARSTARA. The latter saved ground racing into contention on the turn and finished well. WONDROUS HOUR raced slightly wide into the stretch. CAJOLE lost ground on the outside. ON YOUR OWN was sluggish and remained in hand to the stretch, then closed well near the end. STEPPER UPPER was done early. TO CASH stumbled badly at the break and lost her rider.
