DAV Post Awards Service 1 Placque to Belmont Park BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y*. , May 13. — Belmont Park today was cited by the national body of the Disabled America Veterans for services rendered. Clarence! Glowacki, commander of the Elmont Post J 109 of the organization, presented a bronzJ placque from the national group to Alen M. Robb, secretary of Belmont, in a brial ceremony before the first race. Accompany ing Mr. Glowacki were Vincent Sommal Zeke Cooper and Walter J. Korpacz, »m former commanders of the post. The placque, bearing the seal of the DAV and signed by Vivian D. Corbly, nations? adjutant, was inscribed to read "for exceptional and meritorious conduct in thJ performance of outstanding services renJ dered to Disabled American Veterans Posl 109, Elmont, Long Island. J For some years, Belmont has been tfl annual host for the post at an annufl carnival and picnic, which will be repeated this year during the summer after the spring meeting has ended with the runr-; ning of the Belmont Stakes on June 11.
