Lamar Creswells Mister C. L. Two of the leading prospects in the KenWCraigwood and Westward Ho — will be making their initial attempt to get more than six furlongs in competition. Both come out of the same race, the Suffolk "21," in which Craigwood was beaten a half length in 1:10 while second to Commonwealth, and Westward Ho was three lengths off the winner in fifth position. Prior to the Suffolk, Craigwood had won but a single race while boasting a third behind Dedicate and Informant in Garden States Delaware Valley. Craigwood will be ridden in the Kent by Logan Batcheller. Westward Ho, who will be handled by Nick Shuk, has three victories in eight starts and was third behind Boston Doge in the Governors Gold Cup at Bowie. Go Lightly has little to recommend, aside from his Gotham score, though he did manage to finish fourth behind Saratoga in the Chesapeake at Laurel. In his most recent start the Faultless colt was a trailer, beaten more than 25 lengths, in the Preak-ness. He will be ridden in the Kent by Joe Culmone. Accorded an excellent chance in the Kent is Alibhai Lashes, who impresses as a 1 vastly improved colt. After winning one of " his first six starts this season, Alibhai -Lashes recently beat a fair field of allowance three-year-olds at Belmont Park with a mile in 1:36%. He won -by five lengths on that occasion and drops six pounds for tomorrows effort. Two Coming Off Good Efforts Both Fast and Far and Leap Tide come off splendid performances.-the former having been second to Little Dell in a well-run affair on opening day of this meeting, while Leap Tide was a Belmont winner with a mile and a sixteenth in 1:46 in the slop. Jack Westrope has been named atop both horses, which would indicate that trainer Jim Ryan will have but a single starter. Blazing Count -was far from disgraced in his last appearance, having been third be— hind Little Dell and Fast and Far the other day. Prior to that he was beaten off in the Jersey and won a pair of purses in Maryland. Mister C. L. accounted .for the Bowie Breeders as a two-year-old but has nothing to recommend in three starts this season. In his last he was less than three lengths behind Blue Sparkler in New Jersey. Midpassage beat maidens in his lone score and was recently beaten a half dozen lengths when fourth in back of Decimal in New York. Supporting races on tomorrows program are the ,000 Yo Tambien at a mile and a sixteenth for fillies and mares, three-year-olds and upwards, and the ,000 Esposa, a six-furlqng allowance event for four-year-olds and upwards. In the Yo Tambien are Rosemary B., Small Favor, Reddy Ro, Pampas Beauty, Rico Romance, Black Main and Garstara. The Esposa field, includes Fly Wheel, Penocc, Staffordshire, Belmont Breeze, Hilarious and Jen-jay.
