Poona II. Is Through Racing Until Next Winter at Arcadia HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 3. — The Helbuslx Farms Santa Anita, Handicap winner, Poona TJ., is through racing until next winter,- according to his trainer Sam Swartzberg. The Irish-bred four-year-old is being sent to the farm where his ankles are to undergo firing treatment and no attempt is to be made to return him to competition until the Santa Anita season. Poona TJ.s achievements this year include a victory in the San Fernando Stakes, in which he set a worlds record of 1:40% for a mile and a sixteenth; and seconds in each the San Marcos Handicap and the Golden Gate Mile in addition to his triumph in Santa Anitas famed Hundred Grander. In his only start here this meeting, Poona TJ. went unplaced in the Crenshaw Handicap after which it was discovered his ankles needed treatment.
