Cross Ring Topweighted In Governors Handicap Sledge Star Meets Butch K. and Seven Others in Omaha Feature By PAT CAUDILL Staff Correspondent AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 3.— Cross Ring, owned by Olen Sledge and to be ridden by jockey Sonny Ray Williams, will "carry top weight of 120 pounds in tomorrows headliner, the Ak-Sar-Ben Governors Handicap, for his first appearance since his sterling victory in the opening day Inaugural Handicap. The seven-year-old son of Charing Cross — Makann will race coupled in an entry with the same owners McCreight, winner of the Gallant Fox Purse here, and this campaigner gets in with 109 pounds. The feature is designed for four-year-olds and upward at the distance of six furlongs and nine in quest of the ,000 purse money have accepted weights assigned them by racing secretary Kenneth W.
