NancesLad DrillsatMonmouth Before Shipping to Belmont MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 3. — Everglades Farms Nances Lad was "full of run" this morning in a half-mile breeze over the Monmouth Park strip. The sophomore son of Slide Rule and Nances Ace stepped over the fast track in :35 for the three furlongs and he was being eased up the half in :48. Trainer H. A. "Rabbit" Dabson was immensely pleased and he immediately arranged for a van to pick up Nances Lad at 3:00 oclock this afternoon and deliver him to Belmont Park where he will be a starter on Saturday in the 5,000 added Peter Pan Handicap. John Choquette will be his rider, as usual. Despite the colts obvious good condition, Dabson reports that he will ease up on him after the Peter Pan and that his next start probably will not be until the 5,000 added Longfellow Handicap that will be renewed here on Wednesday, June 25. The local 50-day meeting does not get under way until, next Saturday, June 11, and training this morning was mostly on the slow side. The only other horse of reputation on the track was James Cox Bradys Commonwealth, who was sent out for an easy j jogjby * trainer yBQbby. poster He went five furlongs in 1:02% and eased up six furlongs in 1:17.
