Randalls Ohio Futurity Attracts 56 Candidates Darby Dan and Hasty House Are Among Top Nominators to Stake RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, June 3. — With representatives of all the leading Ohio-owned thoroughbred stables included, the list of nominations for the 0,000 added Ohio Futurity, which will be raced at Randall Park on Saturday, August 13, was announced today by general manager Elmer F. Vickers, Jr. The list includes 56 Ohio-owned two-year-olds including one unnamed filly nominated by Homer E. Dickens of Canton, Ohio. Thirty-eight owners are represented. . Topping the list is the six-horse delegation nominated by John W. Galbreaths Darby Dan Farm whose Errasina won the 1954 renewal of the race. The Hasty House Farm 6f Mr. and Mrs Allie Reubens of Toledo named three, and Otto and Ray Pollock of Cleveland, whose Jerrys Gem captured the first Ohio Futurity two years ago, named two. Milton Shagrin has nominated Shag-Win, a full brother to-his stakes-winning Shag Tails, and Mrs. Royal Firman, Jr., daughter of Secretary of the Treasury George Humphrey, nominated two. The purse for the Futurity has been raised from ,500 to 0,000 added this year. It is for two-year-olds owned by bona fide residents of the state of Ohio.
