Jockey Donald Tobin Sidelined Six Weeks With Injuries HAMILTON. Ohio. May 6.— Jockey Donald Tobin will be sidelined for the balance of the current season after having suffered a spill astride Al Gordons Maximal in the sixth race here Saturday. Tobin was rushed to Mercy Hospital where it was found he sustained two fractured ribs, a hairline fracture of the fibula bone in the left leg. which the physician terms not serious, and extensive bruises of the left side of his body. Young Tobin, of Brooklyn, N. Y.. will be released from the hospital tomorrow and is advised by Dr. Garret Boone to remain inactive for the next six weeks. Miss Lottie M. Schulls Ladys Lad bumped Big Vincent and that one came over on Maximal causing the Maxim gelding to stumble and fall. The stewards disqualified Ladys Lad from fourth and placed him last.
