Clint Murchison Exercising Option to Buy Charles Town CHARLES TOWN, W. Va., May 6.— Texas oilman Clint W. Murchison will exercise his option to buy the Charles Town race track for a reported S4.000,-000, it has been learned on good authority by Daily Racing Form. The announcement of the deal is likely to be made this week. Murchisons option to buy the track from Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Boyle runs from May 2 through May 15, according to an agreement between the parties made last February. Murchison, who, with his partner, Sid Richardson, controls the Del Mar course in California, reportedly will pay ,000,000 in cash for Charles Town, the Boyles taking a note for the ,000,000 balance.
