The latter moved boldly to become a threat in the early stretch, then weakened nearing the end after having engaged the leader. LEE WATSON lacked sufficient late response, as did OEYESEE. CLONTOO held a forward position without being hurried but flattened out when set down for the drive. FERDIANA set and pressed the pace to the stretch and stopped badfy. LYNBROOK faltered. MAHARAJAH was a bit rank while being sent around horses, then lugged in badly during the final drive. ROMAN BATTLE saved ground to no avail and was crowded by MAHARAJAH near the sixteenth pole. ROMAN FAN remains a bit * sore. WITCHES MAGIC weakened, as did SUPER JET II HOIERO, shuffled back early, was taken up sharply while lacking room along the hedge leaving the backstretch.
