MULLIGAN j FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 6.— The Bowling Green Purse will feature the eight-race program that will be conducted here Tuesday afternoon. A full field will go postward, as 11 in all have been named, with one on the also-eligible list. The Bowling Green is for four-year-olds and older performers who will travel six fur- longs and all carry a ,750 claiming tag. Among those listed to vie for the major portion of the purse are J. Milankovs Far San, F. W. Hawkins Sgt. Jake, J. Fra- stares Fengtien, R. M. Jones Irish Yarn, M. Hatjoglous Sun-Song, L. Taupiers Janet C, E. Sharrards Valley Flyer, W. jCriglers Foot Secret, R. A. Andersons Pipe Dream, C. F. Davis Play Dip, who is on the also-eligible list, and Sunny Capri, who performs in the partnership of Cacioppo and Halaus. The weatherman promises clear weather, and a fast track will prevail, in all probability. Seven of the events carded will be decided at six furlongs or less, while the eighth and final race will be contested at a mile and one-sixteenth. Sunny Capri, a dark bay mare who usually turns in a good effort, may be a shade the best in a tight fit. She turned in a corking effort at the local oval last Thursday when she was beaten a scant nose by Dictation. Trainer F. Halaus has his charge as fit as hands can make him. Pipe Dream looms up as the main danger and, should this sturdy son of Princequillo race kindly Tuesday afternoon, he may be difficult to overwhelm. He was installed as | the favorite last time out, was slow to gain I his best stride in that effort, but closed swiftest of all in the run through the stretch a few days ago, but appeared to make his move too late. However, should he break more alertly, he may atone for his most recent defeat. Irish Yarn failed to get in the money in his latest endeavor last Thursday, but graced the charmed circle prior to that effort. The fleet-fpoted daughter of the famed Alsab is on edge and should extend the top pair to the utmost. The field appears to be so closely matched that, should an upset occur, either of the remainder could be capable of the task.
