Greater Cleveland Purse To Test Eight at Ascot Superb Bob, Brother Max After Their Second Wins During Meet ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 6. — A six and one-half furlongs dash for sophomores exclusively, entitled the Greater Cleveland, holds the spotlight on Tuesdays card, the twenty-fourth day of this 44-day meeting. Under the allowance conditions, there is a rather well-matched field of eight to vie for the major portion of the ,500 purse, and it is a jroup from which it is extremely difficult to determine a solid choice. Included in the line-up are Mrs. A. Roberts Saville Row, the Botten Bucket Stables Dig Me, Mrs. L. Pitzers Lively Lou, the Audley Farms Should We, H. C. Hustons Zill, the Ben-Jo Stables Brother Max, R. W. Mahans Superb Bob and G. R. Whites Challa Pocket. Superb Bob has had one victory at this meeting. It was on the worse possible racking strip, in fact, the 13th of April. On that Saturday the riders ultimately declared this strip too unsafe to ride over and following the fifth race, president Adams declared off the remainder of the card. However, on that day the Titilatdt gelding earned a head advantage on Valley Marble from the barn of Wayne Ken-drick, the Washington. D. C, sportsman From all recent indications. Super Boh should be rounding to the same form displayed for that wining effort and the additional distance of this affair could be ideally suited to a winning effort. Brother Max. like Superb Bob, turned in his winning performance very early in the meeting, on an off" racing strip, but has been showing a tendency to improve on a fast track as well. For his four an one-half furlong victory on the 6th i April, jockey Clarence Roberts, who w* ride him tomorrow, sent him the six and one-half furlongs on a muddy strip in 1:37 flat. Zill was his closest that day, and of course will be aiming at evening that score.
