AGOURA MIGHT soon went to the front to take a good lead and, racing steadily, was never in danger of being headed. GREENACRES TOM broke quickly but was unable to outrun AGOURA MIGHT, although always closest to him to the end. BELLES BEST went evenly and held third place safe throughout. SHANNONS LEAP went to the front at once and, while widening on the backstretch, had enough left in the stretch to respond gamely to urging and hold BLAZING ROCKET. The latter was twice thwarted while attempting to find an opening next to the rail on the backstretch, then came to the outside in the stretch to close up fast, but lacked the power to overtake the winner. SHELL DIVER trailed early and closed some ground to finish well. MISS KIRKWOOD raced evenly. KING RUFF tired vi the stretch. COZY ADA went to the front early and, shaking off her closest competitors after going a quarter, widened nearing the stretch turn, then saved ground and was not too seriously threatened by INQUISITIVE. The latter was slow to get in best stride, then came strongly on the outside through the stretch and was gaining slowly. ALABAMA CHARM,, while unable to keep up with the pace after going a quarter, raced fairly well. BLUEBILITY was in tight quarters around the far turn and was never a threat. TOO TOO FUSSY raced strongly after being headed by COLONEL SAM E. and, coming up on the inside nearing the stretch turn, cut the corner to take command and had enough left to hold BREEZY NIGHT under hard urging. The latter was caught in close quarters soon after . the start and was required to ease back, then came fast on the outside through the stretch but was unable to get up. COLONEL SAM E. gamely withstood a challenge from GUNMAN nearing the stretch turn, then battled valiantly when challenged during the stretch run and finished close up. GUNMAN came to the outside nearing the stretch turn to take a short lead and also held on well. ON COURSE made a move nearing the stretch turn and then faded.
