B. H. Brownie Held Dies at 64 Following Extended Illness • COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 26— Funeral arrangements are being completed here by" Cook and Son, undertakers, for B. H. "Brownie" Held, 64, veteran Ohio Thoroughbred racing official, who died in Veterans Hospital at Dayton today. He had been hospitalized with a throat ailment. Held formerly was racing secretary at Beulah Park. In recent years he had served as assistant racing secretary and placing judge at Beulah, but he was forced to abandon the dual post this spring because 6T his illness. In addition to Beulah, he also had been racing secretary at Ascot Park. Lancaster and Hamilton in Ohio, and Dade now Ellis Park in Kentucky, Charles Townin West Virginia and Pascoag Park, forerunner of Lincoln Downs, in Rhode Island. He also had been affiliated in an official capacity with .River Downs. Before becoming an official Held was a jockey.
