April 30. — The inquiry sign flashed almost immediately as Peter De Lorenzos Three Cubs crossed the line with a three-quarters length margin over Clyde Lees Albemarle but after viewing the pictures of the race, the stewards reversed the order of finish and awarded first position to the Lee racer. Jockey Phillip Ernst was found guilty of permitting Three Cubs to drift into the line of Albemarles challenge in the 7-fur-long dash and for this stretch interference the Lorenzo racer was demoted to second position.
