Reineman Sells Yearling Crop of 17 Privately Buyer and Price Not Disclosed; Completes Dispersal of Stock LEXINGTON, Ky., April 30. — Howard Reineman, of Crown Crest Farm, said today that he and Mes. Reineman had sold privately the farms 17 yearlings but declined to name the purchaser nor the sum involved. The yearlings, who had been expected to form a valuable consignment in the summer sale of the Breeders Sales Company at Keeneland, represent the final segment of the dispersal of the breeding stock of the farm. The broodmares had been sold last fall when Reineman announced his intention of withdrawing from market breeding. The farm sold its first full crop of yearlings at Keeneland in the summer sales of 1953. Under terms of the Breeders Sales Company contract, Reineman had until May 1 to withdraw the yearlings from the summer sales. The farm will continue to maintain the eight stallions and now quartered there and may even add to that number of prominent stud prospects appear. There are quarters for 12 stallions at the farm. There is a possibility that Mrs. Reine-mans racing silks will be seen in New York this year on a few fillies which indicates that the Reinemans contemplate continuing to breed for their racing stable.
