FIST0N moved into a long lead in the first quarter, set all the pace and, being much the best, was able to hold a comfortable advantage. BILLS WISH moved up fast while saving ground in the last quarter. BROTHER JOSS, far back early, made up a lot of ground in the last quarter while on the inside. REPLENISH took command on the first turn, set all the pace and was forced to a drive in the last sixteenth to hold SHRUG. The latter closed steadily while between horses in the final quarter, moved up on the outside of the winner in the last few yards. COLONEL JETT moved up on the inside in the last quarter. GRAN VINO came from far back in the last quarter while inside. HERBIE PAT tired. BONNIE GAIL tired. Overweight— Replenish, 2 pounds; Shrug, 3. Replenish claimed by M. B. Lee, trainer R. L. Hanna.
