Thornburg at Garden State CAMDEN, N. J., April 30.— Jockey Buck Thornburg will ride at Garden State Park this spring for the first time. The 27-year-old Muncie, Ind. rider is affiliated with Bobby Cramer, conditioner for D. E. Love-man. Thornburg was among the leading riders at the recent Gulfstream Park meeting. His engagement book will be handled by Al Hudson, who won the 1944 Orange Bowl game for the University of Miami by intercepting a forward pass in the closing seconds and racing the length of the field.
